April 2019 Newsletter – Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter from our office!

We hope you will all be enjoying a long weekend with family and friends!

If you are still looking for something fun to do with your kiddos check out this link that has a list of Easter Egg hunts and activities around the area: http://www.easteregghuntsandeasterevents.org/CAventura.php

While Easter Egg hunts and chocolate bunnies are fun here are a few tips on how to ensure that you and your kiddos keep those cavities away this holiday.

1) Try to stay away from sticky treats as they tend to get stuck in the difficult-to-reach areas of the teeth and gums.

2) Don’t graze on sweets all day even though that may be difficult. Try to limit your sweet treat sessions to only twice this Easter as the longer your teeth are in contact with sweets the more time candy interacts with the surface of the teeth  which can cause damage throughout the day.

3) Don’t forget to brush your pearly whites twice a day if not more if you are indulging on sugary sweets. If you have little kiddos brush your teeth with them and make it into a fun game before their bedtime to ensure that they have brushed their teeth thoroughly.

But most importantly, we hope you enjoy your Easter Sunday!

  Sincerely,

  Dr. Rodney Burton and Staff
